Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is the author of Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and The Black Campus Movement, which won the W.E.B. Du Bois Book Prize. He is also the author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers, How to Be an Antiracist, and Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You, a young adult remix of Stamped from the Beginning, co-authored with Jason Reynolds. He most recently authored the #1 Indie bestseller, Antiracist Baby, available as a board book and picture book for caretakers and little ones​.

Buddy joined CPCA in 2017 after relocating from New York City. He has a long history of organizational development and training within the New York public school system, his own consulting practice, and in non-profit corporations. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Community Schools for the Partnership with Children in New York. His position at CPCA was created in direct response to the leadership team’s desire to have expertise in organizational diversity, talent acquisition, employee development, and overall organizational development. Buddy holds an MS in Organization Development from American University & NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences.

CPCA represents more than 1,370 not-for-profit Community Health Centers and Regional Clinic Associations who provide comprehensive, quality health care services, particularly for low-income, uninsured and underserved Californians, who might otherwise not have access to health care.

The mission of CPCA is to lead and position community clinics, health centers, and networks through advocacy, education and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities.
